Philanthropy and Service
Sigma Delta Tau is nationally partnered with three philanthropic organizations- Prevent Child Abuse America, Women for Women International, and Jewish Women International. Our chapter works to contribute financially to these organizations through fundraisers and other events, but also raise awareness of their work to our fellow students at Tulane University. Locally, our chapter also supports The New Orleans Children’s Advocacy Center.

Our Philanthropy Events and Involvement
Our chapter organizes many different events to fund-raise money for these great causes. We have annual bake sales including a Dunkin' Donuts sale, a Halloween Trick or Treat, and at Tulane's Crawfest festival in April, we hold a raffle of gift certificates and other items local store owners donate. We also hold a percentage night when a few local restaurants team up with us to raise money for PCAA. On a designated night, a percentage of all the checks from people who came to the restaurant for the fundraiser are donated to PCAA. In addition to fundraisers, we also participate in other events such as Beautify Broadway, an initiative to keep the streets near our campus clean, and the NO AIDS Walk-a-thon. In 2013, we won Relay for Life, one of the American Cancer Society's largest fundraisers, and raised $10,000!
